NST | Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) will discuss with Negeri Sembilan Education director Datuk Abdullah Mohammad to find ways to resolve the outstanding electricity bills totalling RM121,766 owed by 18 schools in the state.Kesian .... nak tunggu apa Menteri Pelajaran cakap.
TNB said in a statement that it hoped the arrears could be paid soon.
He said of the 18 schools, three had arrears of more than a year.
He said that supply disconnection would only be carried out as a last resort as TNB was sensitive of the inconveniences that might arise.
On Thursday, MCA Negeri Sembilan chairman Datuk Dr Yeow Chai Thiam told a news conference that the schools had been serve with a notice that TNB would disconnect their electricity supplies.
