Beliau berkata surat tersebut diserahkan dengan tangan ke pejabat Ketua Setiausaha KDN, Bahagian Kawalan Penerbitan & Teks Al-Quran di Putrajaya semalam, sebelum berakhir tempoh tujuh hari yang diberi oleh kementerian tersebut untuk menjawab.
"Dalam surat itu juga disertakan salinan naskah terbaru Suara Keadilan yang memuatkan pembetulan dan penarikan balik berita mengenai kesihatan Ketua Polis Negara, Tan Sri Musa Hassan.
"Cop akuan penerimaan pada tarikh tersebut telah pun diperolehi dari pejabat KDN dan salinan surat itu juga dihantar melalui faks pada tarikh yang sama," katanya dalam satu kenyataan hari Sabtu.
Suara Keadilan diberikan surat tunjuk sebab kerana laporannya yang memetik sumber-sumber yang mendakwa Musa lumpuh setelah menjalani pembedahan pintasan jantung.
Semalam, Ketua Setiausaha kementerian tersebut, Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof berkata sehingga tengah hari semalam, KDN belum menerima jawapan daripada Suara Keadilan.... selanjutnya.

star | ...The Home Ministry has yet to receive a reply from the Suara Keadilan newspaper to its show-cause letter issued last Friday for breaching publication guidelines.
The ministry’s secretary-general Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof said the two other newspapers, Sin Chew Daily and theSun, which were also issued with show-cause letters, had responded.
“Until this (Friday) afternoon, Suara Keadilan had still not replied to us. Perhaps their letter will reach us later, failing which, we will take the necessary action,” he told reporters after handing over charity contributions to 289 low-income staff of the ministry by its minister, Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar, here.
Last Friday, in issuing the show-cause letters to the three publications, the ministry gave them one week to respond.
Suara Keadilan received the letter over an article, quoting sources, which alleged that Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan had become paralysed after his bypass surgery.... selanjutnya.

malaysianinsider - The Malaysian government plans to give Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim's political party a permit to start its own newspaper as part of reforms to allow more press freedom, according to news reports today.
The Star daily quoted Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar as saying there was no reason the People's Justice Party (PKR) should not have its own newspaper when other political parties do.
"I've just approved the newspaper and I asked my officers 'why not.' I am open about it," he was quoted as saying.
Syed Hamid's office was closed for the weekend and could not be reached to confirm the report. Anwar's party spokesman also could not immediately be reached for comment. Read more..

Star - Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar is promising more press freedom and one of his first acts was to approve the publishing permit for the Parti Keadilan Rakyat newspaper.
“Even when people talk about press freedom, for me the bottom line is that we need press freedom in order for us to have a check and balance in Government.
“I want to change that paradigm. We are not trying to control you, but we want everyone to contribute to the nation-building process,” Syed Hamid said in an interview.
PKR had been applying for a newsletter for its members since its formation.
“I’ve just approved the Parti Keadilan Rakyat newspaper and I asked my officers why not. I am open about it.
“All political parties have their own papers. It’s their party paper. We have not cancelled the licences of any party newspaper,” he added. more...
