Sloone | ....... Why do they need to cover their faces like that? Are you thinking what I am thinking?
The Mongolians are NOT giving Abdul Razak Baginda or Najib Tun Razak any chances. They have sent their delegate to the Asia-Pacific Forum on National Human Rights Institution, the meeting where SUHAKAM, our toothless tiger (even pussy cats got more teeth) got screwed.
As you know SUHAKAM may be downgraded by the International Coordinating Committee, if it doesn’t buck up, and that means, no more holiday trips to Geneva, where the UN Human Rights Council sits. Yahoo!
Anyway, the Mongolian women NGO network issued a statement to the delegates at the meeting in Kuala Lumpur. The network includes: Mongolian Human Rights NGOs, Network of Mongolian Child Rights NGOs and Network of Mongolian Women’s Rights NGOs, all based in Ulanbaataar. read more....

Police questions lawyer for Bala’s nephew
Sloone | Why is the police always going after the wrong man?
In their bid to nail PI Balasubaramaniam, who made a stunning statutory declaration last week, and retracted it 24 hours later, only to go missing to “one of the ASEAN countries”, the police now wants to question his nephew’s lawyer N Surendran (image).
Surendran, who helped Kumarasen lodge a police report on his missing uncle, is required to report at the multimedia and cyber crime investigation unit, at 3pm on Saturday, says the Malaysian Anti-Death Penalty and Torture network (MADPET, where Surendran is a member).
What is the justification for questioning Surendran? He is merely the lawyer for the nephew who was worried about the safety of his uncle, especially an uncle who had made revelations, that might bring down the number 2 top leader of the country. That leader happens to be slated now to take over the country’s premiership in 2010 (or so it seems).
Bala’s case is now being classified under section 199 of Penal Code (False statement made in any declaration which is by law receivable evidence).... selanjutnya.

Why should I be investigated?
sloone |
But first, did he lie? First he said he hadn’t met the victim of sodomy, then he said he met him at his house:
Najib admitted meeting Saiful Bukhari Azlan a few days before he (Saiful) lodged a police report against Anwar Ibrahim, accusing the PKR leader of sodomising him.
“He came to my house because he needed my help because he was so traumatised. That was it,” Najib told reporters in Parliament.
He added that there was no conspiracy involved in the police report as being claimed by Anwar. “I did not advise Saiful to lodge a police report”.
So why should I be investigated?

Jailed blogger RPK’s wife speaks of her pain
Image above: Marina Lee Abdullah with daughter in Bangsar on 28 April, 9 days before her husband’s arrest.
sloone - Tears came to my eyes when I read this message by Raja Petra Kamaruddin’s wife - Marina Lee Abdullah. Maybe sometime, somewhere, some of you have felt this way…
The last time I met her was in Bangsar on Monday, 28 April. We were full of laughter then. Today, I stand in solidarity with her:“… when freedom of speech is being brutally subverted by the present regime and false charges can be instituted against anyone who dares to demand for justice and truth.”
