Pihak BPR sedang meneliti kereta Proton perdana milik EXCO .... tengah intai casis number la tu ... Cuba korang perhatikan, adakah Kereta EXCO pakai sport rim? Macamana tak melambung kos senggara ..... Tak hairan kalau ada yang dah tukar enjin TURBO. Kereta biar laju, kerja biar perlahan.

EXCO guna Me'che'dis, rakyat guna Proton

Ahmad Said yang di kritik hebat kerana beli Me'che'dis, hari ini menggalakkan pemilik teksi menggunakan kereta Proton. Mereka akan di berikan subsidi sebanyak RM10,000 sekiranya berhasrat untuk tukar jenama teksi diorang kepada Proton. Sementara itu kepada mereka yang nak baik pulih teksi Proton di berikan rebate RM4,000.

ACA detains eight Proton Perdana V6

NST | The Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) has detained eight Proton Perdana V6 Executive cars of Terengganu executive councillors (excos) and senior state officials in connection with its investigation into their high cost of maintenance.
Terengganu ACA chief Sharuddin Sapian, when contacted by Bernama here today, said four were detained on Thursday and while the other four on Friday.

However, he declined to elaborate on the matter.

Yesterday, Sharuddin had said that the ACA had questioned nine individuals in connection with the case.

On Thursday, the ACA began a probe in to the matter after Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said alleged that the Perdana cars were uneconomical to use because of the high maintenance costs.

Terengganu Mercedes-Benz E200K for “guests”

paultan ....The Deputy Prime Minister said he expects a “great demand” for guests using the E200K cars, with the first such assignment for the cars set to during the Conference of Rulers meeting scheduled for October this year.

Now not only does the Terengganu state government have to continue paying the “high maintenance” associated with the Perdana V6 Executive cars, it also has to pay additional maintenance costs for the new fleet of E200K which will barely be used because it is not all the time that guests will be around. Proton suspends Terengganu dealer

Star | Proton has suspended one of its dealers in Terengganu for allegedly using non-genuine spare parts, overcharging and repairing cars without recording it in the carmaker's online warranty system.

Proton Holdings Bhd managing director Datuk Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed told reporters at a press conference on Sunday that the company would also be cooperating with the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) while conducting its own investigations into the matter.

"If the dealer is implicated in any wrongdoing, we will not hesitate to terminate the dealer's services," he said, adding that the dealer worked under EON (Edaran Otomobil Nasional) - one of Proton's super-dealers.

The national carmaker began its own investigation into the state government's claims on the high cost of maintaining the 16 Proton Perdana V6 Executive cars previously used by Terengganu executive councillors.... selanjutnya.

Me'che'dis boleh pakai sekali sekali - Ahmad Said

bernama | Anggota Exco dan pegawai kanan kerajaan Terengganu akan menggunakan kereta Mercedes E200 Kompressor sebagai kenderaan rasmi buat sementara waktu sehingga Badan Pencegah Rasuah (BPR) selesai menjalankan siasatan terhadap kereta Proton Perdana V6 Executive.

Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said berkata pada masa ini, BPR telah mengambil kereta Proton Perdana V6 kerajaan negeri itu untuk siasatan berhubung kos penyenggaraannya yang terlalu tinggi.

"BPR telah ambil kereta Proton Perdana V6 Executive yang digunakan exco dan pegawai kanan kerajaan negeri. Jadi mereka kena pakai dululah (kereta Mercedes)...Perdana Menteri pun dah kata, sekali-sekala boleh pakai kereta Mercedes ini," katanya.

Ahmad berkata demikian kepada pemberita selepas menghadiri majlis makan malam dan ramah mesra antara beliau selaku Pengerusi Badan Perhubungan Umno Terengganu dengan pemimpin kesemua empat peringkat Bahagian-Bahagian Umno negeri di sini malam tadi.

Dua hari lepas, Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi menegaskan kesemua 14 buah kereta Mercedes E200 Kompressor yang telah dibeli kerajaan Terengganu hanya akan digunakan untuk membawa tetamu-tetamu kerajaan negeri.

Ditanya sama ada kerajaan Terengganu akan membeli kereta Proton Perdana V6 Executive yang baru kerana kereta nasional kerajaan negeri sedia ada itu didakwanya sering menghadapi masalah, Ahmad berkata: "Kalau nak beli pun tahun depan. Itu pun kalau (kerajaan negeri) ada duit."

Dalam perkembangan berkaitan, beliau menjelaskan kerajaan negeri tidak pernah berniat untuk menjatuhkan imej Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh berhubung kenyataan yang menyebut kos penyenggaraan kereta Proton Perdana V6 Executive yang pernah digunakan bekas Menteri Besar Terengganu itu, adalah yang tertinggi di kalangan exco dan pegawai kanan kerajaan negeri itu.... selanjutnya.

Idris Jusoh vs Ahmad Said on Perdana V6

hardT | Former Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh has appointed a lawyer to study what action to take over a statement that maintenance of his Proton Perdana V6 Executive was highest among the State Executive Council (Exco) members.

His special officer Kamarulazman Idris said the move was necessary as the statement had tarnished the reputation of Idris, the State Assemblyman for Jerteh.

dailyrun | Recently the debacle of the Mercedes in Terengganu reported by Malaysiakini really is disappointing. Here they are arguing about whether Mercedes is more cost effective than Perdana? C'mon man!!! Isn't this a bloody waste of time?

Don't they have a job to do? And what is this thing about rationalizing the cost effectiveness of a Mercedes vs a Perdana? This is so ridiculous man! And so stupid. Ask the man on the street what he thinks? Probably he or she will vomit blood. Why does Malaysiakini even report such crap? It's so asinine that I think they shouldn't post this Mercedes story.

No matter what, the man on street ain't stupid. You can come up with all the justification on Mercedes over Perdana but who the hell cares? Mercedes cost 3 times of a Perdana. One is luxury car and the other is medium range car. One is an imported brandname and the other is an ordinary car. How to compare???... selanjutnya.

Isu kereta rasmi - Mohd Sabu beri amaran kepada kerajaan negeri BN dan Pakatan Rakyat

harakahdaily | ...."Saya ingin mengingatkan kerajaan negeri, sama ada BN atau Pakatan Rakyat, sama ada mereke hendak guna Mercedes Benz atau Proton Perdana, mereka tidak harus sesekali membazirkan wang rakyat," tegasnya dalam suatu kenyataan kepada Harakahdaily sebentar tadi.

Beliau berkata demikian dalam reaksinya terhadap kos penyelenggaraan yang tinggi ke atas kereta rasmi kegunaan Exco Kerajaan Negeri Terengganu sebagaimana yang didedahkan media sekarang ini.

Pendedahan dibuat oleh kerajaan negeri Terengganu mengenai kos penyelenggaraan yang tinggi Proton Perdana, turut diakui kerajaan negeri Pahang, Kelantan, Kedah dan Selangor.

Penggunaan kereta Proton Perdana sebagai kenderaan rasmi, dilaksanakan kerajaan sama ada di peringkat Persekutuan atau pun Negeri, selaras dengan dasar kerajaan untuk mengutamakan kenderaan keluaran nasional.

Bagaimanapun sejak akhir-akhir ini banyak kerajaan negeri terpaksa menimbang semula dasar tersebut akibat kos penyelenggaraan kereta nasional yang amat tinggi.

Dalam reaksinya mengenai kos penyelenggaraan yang tinggi, Naib Presiden PAS itu berkata, beliau bimbang wujud penyelewengan atau ketidaktelusan dalam tuntutan kos-kos yang berkaitan. ... selanjutnya.

malaysiakini | Dato Dr S Vijayaratnam: It is quite unnecessary, not only extravagant, for the Terengganu government to purchase brand new Mercedes cars for its exco members. It smacks of power abuse.

From personal experience, the Proton V6, if serviced regularly and driven carefully, is not expensive to maintain.

Mercedes, on the other hand, incurs much more costs. It is a lame excuse for indulgence in luxury. People have not voted you in to arrive in style on taxpayers money.

This is the kind of arrogance that cost the BN dearly in the last election. If Protons are good enough for the PM and ministers, they should be more than adequate for the Terengganu exco.

Angry Citizen: Do you not fume when the Terengganu MB announced the purchase of Mercedes Benzes as official cars? I am even more infuriated today looking at a picture in the newspapers of a Terengganu official stepping out of his Mercedes Benz.

Pahang, Kelantan MBs back Terengganu over Perdana car maintenance cost

malaysianinsider | ...Both Datuk Adnan Yaakob and Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat agreed with Ahmad that it was costly to maintain the national cars.

Ahmad had said that the high maintenance cost had driven the Terengganu government to decide on the purchase of 14 Mercedes Benz E200 Kompressor cars at a cost of RM3.43 million to replace the Perdana cars of its state executive councillors and senior government officers.

However, Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the Terengganu government's purchase of the Mercedes Benz cars was not right at a time of economic uncertainty, and that it should have settled for a cheaper car such as a Toyota.

Adnan said his Mercedes Benz car, which had been in use for years since the time of Tun Khalil Yaakob as the menteri besar, ran up a maintenance cost of RM42,000 last year while a Perdana used by a state executive councillor had cost RM57,500 to maintain.

"The Terengganu menteri besar is basically right when he said the maintenance cost of the Proton Perdana V6 Executive is higher than that of the Mercedes Benz," he told reporters after the presentation of cheques to Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) students, here.

Adnan, however, said he did not want to support or oppose the decision of the Terengganu government to buy the 14 Mercedes Benz cars, adding that all decisions now had to take into consideration the current situation and needs of the people.
