sinchewjitpoh | I could feel the people's anger at the Stadium Melawati in Shah Alam Tuesday night (1 July).
PKR used half a day to call for the rally in reaction to the sodomy allegations made against its advise Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The news was rapidly spread and a large group of people crowded the stadium a few hours later.
Speeches were given by PKR leaders included PKR vice presidents Azmin Ali and R. Sivarasa before the arrival of Anwar. When they mentioned about Anwar's former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, who filed the sodomy complaint, together with his pictures shown on the big screen, the audience was indignant. Similarly, the pictures and names of the Inspector General of Police, the Attorney-General, the Deputy Prime Minister and his wife drew the same ire.
The targets were obvious. The audience shared the same thought and their spirits were high.
Finally, Anwar arrived. He asked: Do you believe Saiful's allegations? Do you believe in the police? Do you believe in the government?
A thunderous voice from the masses – Tidak! (No!)
