The AG-IGP tag-team fabricated evidence

Imagemalaysiatoday - [...] Some of you may by now be blur on what I am talking about so allow me to take you for a trip down memory lane. On the night of 20 September 1998, Anwar Ibrahim was arrested and taken to the Bukit Aman lockup. The then IGP, Rahim Noor, entered the lockup soon after that and beat Anwar up. Anwar was blindfolded and handcuffed when Rahim Noor beat him up.

The recently ‘retired’ Commercial Crime Division Director, Ramli Yusof -- who is currently on trial on trumped-up charges of corruption -- rushed into the lockup when he heard Anwar screaming in pain. He grabbed Rahim Noor and pulled him away to stop him from continuing to assault Anwar.

They then left the lockup with Anwar lying unconscious on the lockup floor, covered in blood and still blindfolded and handcuffed. Ramli suggested that they send Anwar to the hospital but Rahim Noor refused. Instead, Rahim Noor asked them to detain Anwar under the Internal Security Act so that no one can meet him for the next 60 days -- and therefore find out that Anwar had been beaten up.

The next morning, Ramli went to check on Anwar and he found the latter still unconscious and exactly where they had left him the night before -- bloody, blindfolded and handcuffed. Ramli again tried seeking Rahim Noor’s approval to send Anwar to hospital but his plea was declined. Ramli then asked for a doctor to come to Bukit Aman to attend to Anwar.

At first the police said that Anwar had beaten himself up. He not only beat himself up but he continued beating himself even after he had become unconscious. This is the special quality of Anwar who can remain conscious after becoming unconscious compared to Abdullah Ahmad Badawi who is always unconscious whenever he is conscious.

When the government realised that only 1% of Malaysians believed that Anwar beat himself up -- and continued beating himself up after he became unconscious -- they had no choice but to order an investigation. And the investigation confirmed that Rahim Noor had beaten up Anwar and that other senior police officers were also present to witness the beating.

Nevertheless, in spite of everyone in Bukit Aman having knowledge of what happened, the current AG and IGP -- who were both in Bukit Aman at that time and were fully aware that Rahim Noor had beaten Anwar -- fabricated a report that said Anwar was beaten up by a person or persons unknown. Later, of course, Rahim Noor confessed to the crime when he realised he can no longer cover up his evil deed and was sentenced to a mere two months jail, the same jail term for someone who steals a banana. (They let him out after only 40 days).

The AG and IGP fabricated evidence back in 1998 so they must now pay for this crime. No doubt that was ten years ago but the evidence has just surfaced. Yes, that’s right, a whistleblower has just come forward to reveal the secret that he/she has been keeping for the last ten years.... selanjutnya.

Mamat tu rapat ngan Rosmah

Aduh .... makin gawat nih. Gua sudah bilang. Kalau ada isteri di lihat lihat dong. Kalu isteri ngak di lihat, nanti orang lain intim sapa dia .... Lu bacain artikel berikutan,

anwar ibrahim and najibPenasihat PKR mendakwa lagi Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan beberapa kali bertem Rosmah Mansor, selain rapat dengan suaminya Datuk Seri Najib Razak dan pegawai khasnya Khairil Anas Yusof.

Rosmah claims innocence but won't sue RPK

rosmahmalaysiainsider - Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor finally broke her silence and proclaimed her innocence but will not not sue blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin for linking her to the murder of Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu.

"The innocent have nothing to fear. I have nothing to say and I have already given my statement to the police," Rosmah, who is Deputy Prime Minster Datuk Seri Najib Razak's wife, told reporters.

Alluding to political motivations behind the claims, Rosmah added: "I am not a politician and I am not running for office. I am just a wife of a politician."

In his June 18 sworn statement, Raja Petra claimed Rosmah and two lieutenant-colonels, one of who is an explosives expert, were present when Altantuya's body was blown up on Oct 19, 2006.

The two lieutenant-colonels have filed defamation suits against Raja Petra, better known as RPK, after he named them in his statutory declaration as being involved in the murder of Altantuya.

Najib had dismissed RPK's claims as "total lies, fabrication and total garbage." Najib's close friend and advisor Abdul Razak Baginda and two policemen from an elite unit are now facing trial for the murder.

Lapuran polis Anwar Ibrahim

1st July, 2008

I, Anwar bin Ibrahim, (NRIC No: 470810-07-5095), hereby make the following police report based on information that I have recently received.

1. This report is in relation to the investigation into the assault on me by the former IGP Tan Sri Rahim Noor on 20 September 1998. I believe Tan Sri Rahim Noor, after being prosecuted, pleaded guilty to the assault. I had lodged a police report in respect of the assault on 27.9.98.

2. In relation to the investigation into the assault, I believe that the Investigating Officer ACP Mat Zain bin Ibrahim (now Datuk Mat Zain) had conducted a thorough investigation and prepared an investigation paper (“IP”) which was presented by October 1998 to the former Attorney General Tan Sri Mokhtar Abdullah and his team which included the current Attorney General Tan Sri Gani Patail for further action.

3. The said investigation paper concluded that Tan Sri Rahim Noor was the perpetrator of the assault on me. The said paper reached a conclusion after a thorough investigation which included medical reports by Hospital KL forensic specialists such as Dr Ab. Halim Haji Mansar and Dr Zahari bin Noor and statement from at least 60 witnesses. The medical reports concluded that the injury inflicted on me was consistent with an assault.

4. Despite the contents of the Investigation paper and the medical reports already available, Tan Sri Mokhtar with the assistance of the current Attorney General Tan Sri Gani Patail then obtained the services of another doctor whom I was informed to be one Dr Abdul Rahman Yusof.

5. Doctor Rahman in an undated and second report speaks of a “reconstruction of the scene” on 14 December 2008. I believe that this so-called reconstruction of the scene never happened.

6. It is an undisputable fact that Dr Rahman’s reports in relation to the assault on me were done without actually even examining me at any time.

7. However, despite the IP and the already existing medical reports, Tan Sri Mokhtar in his press statement of 5 January 1999 appears to accept the views of Dr Rahman on the so-called “inconsistencies” in the other medical reports by the doctors who actually physically examined me.

8. Tan Sri Mokhtar’s press statement also states that the investigation which had been carried out did not identify the person or persons responsible for my injuries. This is inconsistent with the IP which had already concluded by October 1998 that it was Rahim Noor who assaulted me. Tan Sri Mokhtar and his team therefore had wilfully misled the public. As the police investigation done by Mat Zain had apparently not led to any conclusion, there was a public outcry and demand for a Royal Commission which was then set up. Tan Sri Mokhtar also made a false statement that the IP was submitted to him on 19.11.98. I believe that Tan Sri Gani Patail had full knowledge of the false contents of this press statement.

9. I believe Tan Sri Musa Hassan and Tan Sri Gani Patail were present in Bukit Aman on 20 September 1998 and knew about the assault by Tan Sri Rahim Noor on me. Tan Sri Musa and Tan Sri Gani further concealed the fact of the assault on me from the public until my black eye and injuries were revealed in court.

10. I believe both Tan Sri Musa and Tan Sri Gani Patail were actively involved in the procuring of the second undated report by Dr Rahman which makes false and incredible conclusions such as “the pattern and nature of the injuries are not consistent with a direct blow”, “accidental nature of the injuries could not be ruled out” and “self-inflicted nature of the injury should be considered”. They gave the instructions to Dr Rahman to proceed to write this second report and were acting under the direction and/or jointly with Tan Sri Mokhtar Abdullah.

11. These facts show that Tan Sri Musa Hassan, Tan Sri Gani Patail and SAC II Datuk Mat Zain bin Ibrahim (who, according to Dr Rahman’s second report, accompanied him to the cell in Bukit Aman where I was detained and participated in the so-called reconstruction of the scene) conspired with Dr Rahman to procure the production of this second report. This was done so that my police report of 27.9.98 in respect of the assault would be regarded as a false police report for which I could be charged, or at the very least, to damage my credibility, so as to affect my defence in the other criminal cases where I was charged for so-called “corruption” and sodomy to facilitate a conviction.

12. I wish to point out that Tan Sri Gani Patail was the senior prosecutor assisting Tan Sri Mokhtar in the prosecution against me. Tan Sri Musa Hassan was the Investigating Officer for my prosecution. I also believe, that in an unprecedented manner, an operation room specially for my prosecution was set up at Bukit Aman’s compound where all these individuals would meet regularly.

13. This is not the first time that allegations of fabricating evidence had surfaced in connection with Tan Sri Gani Patail. I am informed that in the Federal Court decision Zainur bin Zakaria v Public Prosecutor [2001] 3 MLJ, Steve Shim CJ in delivering his judgment pointed out that “… was he not justified, on a prima facie basis, in complaining that Tan Sri Gani Patail’s conduct at the meeting on 2.10.1998 was an attempt to get Nalla to fabricate evidence in order to perfect charges against him for other alleged sexual offences?” The references to “he” and “him” in that sentence are references to myself.

14. In relation to the above, I refer to the following documents which will be of assistance to the police:

1. The press statement by Tan Sri Mokhtar issued on 5.1.99.

2. The notes of proceedings in the report of the Royal Commission of the evidence of Dr Rahman

3. The second undated report produced by Dr Rahman exhibited in the Royal Commission report.

15. I call for a fresh investigation into the fabrication of evidence in this case which I am advised is an offence contrary to section 192 of the Penal Code punishable up to 7 years imprisonment. I ask that all the persons who are implicated in the procuring of this second report by Dr Rahman i.e. Tan Sri Gani Patail, Tan Sri Musa Hassan, Dr Rahman and Datuk Mat Zain bin Ibrahim be investigated thoroughly so that the truth is known and the offending individuals punished.

Upko slams ALI KETAM for Double Standard

dailynews - Upko Saturday criticised Umno Vice President and Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam's support for the demonstration staged in Tawau against SAPP MP Datuk Chua Soon Bui.

Its Deputy President Datuk Wilfred Bumburing questioned whether certain people had the privilege to demonstrate while others, for example like the Hindraf (Hindu Rights Action Force), cannot.

"Ali Rustam's comment that he supported the demonstration in Tawau has set a precedent. Is he saying that in future if YBs defer in opinions, they are free to demonstrate?" he asked.

Bumburing, who is also Tuaran Member of Parliament, said Ali Rustam's comment will give the licence to other BN component parties to demonstrate should they differ in opinions.

"We respect the opinions of those who demonstrate but it seems that double standards are being practised whereby some demonstrations like those held by Hindraf and Bersih are stopped by the police while others are allowed," he said.

Bumburing said he understands the feelings of Umno but demonstrations should not be held for whatever reasons.

"For a senior leader like Ali Rustam to give his endorsement for a demo is unbecoming. He should not condone demonstrations and the Government should not be seen as having two sets of rules, that is, you can demonstrate if it is in our favour and can't if you are not," he said.

Bumburing was responding to Ali Rustam's comment and support for last Tuesday's demonstration staged by Umno members against SAPP in front of Chua's office.

The demonstration came about following SAPP's plan to support a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who is also BN Chairman.

Amerika bantah pendakwaan bermotif politik

– Utusanloya

Venom pity questions as bloggers debate claims

straittimes - WHEN blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin made a sworn statement last week claiming that the wife of Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak was involved in the murder of Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu, the opposition went to town with the claim.

But they have rejected outright a police report filed by an assistant of Datuk Seri Anwar that he had been sodomised by the de facto opposition leader.

'I wonder why Raja Petra's (statement) was swallowed whole as truth by the opposition...but when it comes to this police report, it was rejected. No double standards lah!' wrote a posting on a blog by someone who called himself Two-Face.

Such a reaction was just one of scores of rants and observations in cyberspace as Malaysians debate and dissect the latest scandal rocking their country's political scene.

On Saturday, Mr Saiful Bukhari Azlan, 23, an assistant in Mr Anwar's camp, filed a police report claiming that the former deputy prime minister had sodomised him.

Mr Anwar and his supporters have denied vehemently the allegation and have filed a defamation suit against Mr Saiful.

Since then, websites and blogs have been variously filled with venom and hatred, or pity and understanding, about both Mr Anwar and Mr Saiful.

Many are curious about Mr Saiful, and why Mr Anwar's party hired him if they knew all along that he was a mole 'planted by the other side' - a claim made by a senior party official on Sunday.

The blog, riwayathayat.blogspot.com, where Mr Saiful had last posted comments in February, was swamped with 21,600 unique visitors on Sunday and 9,300 yesterday. This far exceeds the blog's usual traffic of fewer than 100 visitors a day in the past month.

Some netizens have accused Mr Saiful of being an instrument of the wobbly Barisan Nasional coalition to kill Mr Anwar's political career. 'I think BN ran out of ideas to put Anwar down. I am no PKR fan, but enough is enough. This sodomy is an old story,' said one netizen.

Some do not believe the sodomy charge at all. 'How credible is it that this healthy young man of 23 was sodomised against his will (on more than one occasion, mind you) by a 60-year-old man with a bad back problem?' reader Lilian Tan asked in online newspaper Malaysiakini.

On the other side of the fence, there are those who are outraged at the sodomy charge and want justice meted out.

'Let the police investigate. If it is proven untrue, then we all demonstrate to ask (the Prime Minister) to take action on those responsible,' said a posting on political site Malaysia Today.... selanjutnya.

I will not take action against Raja Petra - Rosmah

Star - Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor who is the wife of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will not sue Malaysia Today editor Raja Petra Kamaruddin for alleging her involvement in the murder of Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu.

“I have nothing to say. I have given my statement to the police and that’s it,” she said.

Asked if she would sue Raja Petra for defamation, she said she did not want to address unnecessary issues because she had other bigger things to attend to for the people and for the nation.

Asked why she would not address such a serious allegation, she said it did not matter.

“If you are innocent, what is there for you to address? I am not a politician and I am not running for any post. I’m just the wife of a politician,” she said Tuesday during the Asia-Pacific Conference on Children’s Book Publishing.... selanjutnya.

Family shoots down conspiracy theory

Star - Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan’s family stands by him and stresses that no one put them up to accuse Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim of sodomy.

An uncle of Mohd Saiful, who did not want to be named, said the family was on its own in this matter.

“We are not getting any backing from the Government. We are on our own but as a family we fully support Saiful.

“We had asked for the Government’s help but they have chosen to back off and not dirty their hands,” he said when met at his house here yesterday.

The uncle added that they had repeatedly called the Inspector-General of Police but were told to stop calling his number.

He said his nephew had initially approached the Bukit Aman police station to lodge his report against Anwar but they turned him away upon learning who he was accusing.

Mohd Saiful eventually found a police station in Kuala Lumpur which was willing to accept his report, his uncle added.

“Saiful is no longer in the hospital but is under police protection and even our family does not know his whereabouts,” he said.

The uncle said the family would eventually hold a press conference to allow Saiful to “explain from A to Z” his accusations against Anwar.

“Our family is a small family and we do not benefit in any way from Saiful’s revelation.

“We are not getting any money and in fact our family is being cut off by other people.

“Saiful is sacrificing himself for the country even though he knows that society will scorn him and the family for his accusation,” the uncle said.

He said Mohd Saiful had also contemplated suicide as he felt that he had committed a sin.

The uncle said he had been a strong supporter of Anwar but was disillusioned now.

On why Mohd Saiful had pictures with of him posing with Cabinet Ministers and a Prime Minister’s Department aide, his uncle said it was normal for a student leader to take pictures with government officials.

The Oil-for-Food scandal revisited

Imagemalaysiatoday - [...]
PM & The Oil for Food Scandal

The Oil-for-Food Programme was established to allow Iraq to sell oil in exchange for food, medicine and other vital supplies. It did not take long however for the Iraqi government to abuse the programme by demanding kickbacks from companies. Several investigations were launched and voluminous reports written.

One of the names that cropped up in the final report of the Independent Inquiry Committee into The United Nations Oil-For-Food Programme was the Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Studying Chapter Two of the report, Malaysia was the fourth highest purchaser of oil under Phase IX of the programme (circa 2000 and above). This amounted to a figure of US$500 million or RM1.8 billion.

The report names Mastek Sdn Bhd as one of the companies that paid bribes to Iraqi officials amounting to US$10 million. The Prime Minister publicly denied any involvement in the scandal. He only recommended several people to participate in the Oil-for-Food Programme in his capacity as (then) Deputy Prime Minister. Malaysiakini was threatened by government officials for reporting on Abdullah Badawi's involvement.

The current Foreign Minister Syed Hamid issued a statement saying that the Prime Minister had nothing to gain from obtaining oil in Iraq. The Iraq Survey Group that prepared the report concluded that a person in the programme could profit by US$0.65 per barrel of oil obtained.

Returning to Mastek Sdn Bhd, it is listed as a saw timber company. Mastek Sdn Bhd was at that time a dormant company which was revived by three persons, namely:

1. Noor Asiah Dato' Mahmood (Abdullah Badawi's sister-in-law)
2. Faek Ahmad Shareef (Noor Asiah's ex-husband)
3. Jaya Sudhir (businessman)
After it's revival it became a crude oil company, participating in Phase VII to Phase IX of the Oil-for-Food Programme. Currently Mastek Sdn Bhd is listed as a computer software develpoment company.

Prior to Phase IX, Mastek Sdn Bhd received roughly 7.5 million barrels of oil. During Phase IX however, Mastek Sdn Bhd's oil allocation rose to 39.5 million barrels. This coincided with the time when Abdullah Badawi cemented his position as the Deputy Prime Minister, after the sacking of Anwar Ibrahim. In fact, this was the single largest allocation of oil during the entire Oil-for-Food Programme.... selanjutnya.

Siapa liwat Shaiful?

‘Anwar finds an Ally in U.S”..Malaysiakini

audie61 - Malaysiakini portal carried this report of The United States said today it would oppose any politically motivated investigation or prosecution of Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim facing fresh sex misconduct charges. The full texts: http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/85358 . Tom Casey, spokesman for the US State Department said “The main point for us is that the rule of law needs to stand above politics,”

International sympathy and protection..? It seems that this time as compare to the 1998 episode he is better prepared and has learnt his lesson well. Not many people in this generation would have survived what Anwar went through in Jail, regroup, live to fight and get a second chance for the top posts In Malaysia. As compared to 1998 then he was the Deputy Prime Minister and many would be envious and jeolous of him making the grade as PM. This time he is the defacto leader of PKR and has 82 opposition MPs with him and is also a leader for the 5 Pakatan rule states. There is a difference don’t you think? Aren’t the people in question who pushed this “boy” to be a “rat” as the Mafia calls those who betray them to the brink.

We had a similar “Code RED“situation in Parti Rakyat Sarawak where loyalty was tested to the fullest and it caused grevious pain, sleepless nights, police questioning and he paid the consequences later. We don’t want to dwell on this and this is a similar sort of political circumstance where it bites into the very heart of each and every politician alike. Don’t tell me it doesn’t.. ? I’m not going to believe as I can tell a liar a mile away. That road has been used once to often. ... selanjutnya.

Cubaan Bunuh DSAI sejak 1990?

Gua petik artikel di dalam blog zul4kulim ....

zul4kulim - [...]

  1. Helikopter Nuri yang membawa DSAI semasa beliau TPM jatuh terhempas selepas menghantar beliau ke Pulau Pinang penghujong tahun 1990an. Tidak lama selepas itu berlaku peristiwa pemecatan DSAI. Helikopter tersebut disyaki telah disabotaj;
  2. Sistem brake kenderaan rasmi DSAI telah disabotaj menyebabkan ia hampir meragut nyawa DSAI apabila kenderaan tersebut menuruni bukit di Langkawi semasa lawatan rasmi DSAI sebagai TPM. Kecekapan pemandu kenderaan tersebut menyelamatkan DSAI. Perkara yang hampir sama berlaku kepada peguam utama DSAI Allahyarham Aris Chris Fernando bila sistem brake kereta Jaguarnya disabotaj hingga beliau hampir kemalangan serius di lebuhraya KL-Seremban semasa kes DSAI sedang berjalan;
Anwar ups ante with police report against IGP, A-G

ganimusamalaysianinsider - acing fresh allegations of sodomy, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will raise the stakes in his fight with the government by lodging a police report today against its police chief and top lawyer for faking evidence against him in a similar case a decade ago.

The opposition leader claims he has proof that Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan and Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail concocted evidence for his corruption and sodomy trials in 1998 and 1999 which kept him imprisoned until he was freed in 2004.

He is due to lodge the report at 2pm at the Shah Alam police station, his Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) officials said. They have painted his 23-year-old accuser as a government plant and a coffeeboy and not a political aide as claimed.

Saiful Bukhari Azlan lodged a police report last Saturday alleging Anwar had sodomised him in a Damansara condominium on June 26 and other occasions abroad. Anwar denies the sodomy complaint and said it was to destroy his political comeback and distract the people about problems blighting the country.... selanjutnya.

Saiful Mohon Biasiswa Bila Sudah Dibuang UNITEN?

The image “http://buletinonline.net/images/berita7/saiful.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.buletinonline - [...] Apabila kita berbohong, kita terpaksa mereka “fakta”. Apabila “fakta” tersebut diselidiki dan dipersoalkan, maka kita terpaksa mereka helah demi helah, tipu demi

“Once you compound a lie, you compounded the consequences”

... selanjutnya.

Who Says "Malaysian Politics Is Clean"

eryrahim - [...] If Anwar is really a bad person, he would have a much better option. Saiful would certainly be the last person in his list of edible mankind.

I guess PKR has made a big mistake in accepting this ungrateful person to be a special aide to Anwar. He has flunked out of a university when he was offered a scholarship – which pretty much it shows how irresponsible this person could be.

Think about it.. if we were to be offered a scholarship, and we think it is not worth to continue accepting it, why could not we turn the scholarship down, and let other thousands of worthy eligible aspirants vying for this one opportunity of a lifetime?

Najib said tonight that this dude went to his office to apply for a scholarship? And because of that he took photos with few high-ranking officers, including several ministers? Ok, this is a good lesson for kids out there – “If you did not manage to get a scholarship, don’t worry. Go to several government offices, and do not forget to take photos with its respective minister, hopefully you’ll get a scholarship, at least to pursue your career in science of espionage.” ... selanjutnya.

Forensic team quick on Anwar’s case but not on Datin Rosmah’s

mynobrainer - Strange. Don’t remember them doing, swinging into action so fast, this to DPM’s house when RPK made a statutory declaration that Datin Rosmah was present at the scene of the Altantuya’s murder.

I have never been so disgusted in my life. Malaysia is now a joke. Turning into a banana country. Something must be done. The Agong must step in as it is obvious the current administration had lost control. A reconciliation government, drawn from all parties, must be set up, to put the country back to a foundation that can be built on.

Everyday, you see police reports and counter reports made by among the parties against each other. It has gone to far. Seems that every one high up is tainted. DPM, IGP. AG. Dunno about PM but the with all these at the top, Malaysia simply cannot move forward.... selanjutnya.

BN Being Threaten, So Persecute Anwar?

melvinmah - [...] There were a few coincidences laid out on why Anwar is a possible target of a physical and political assassination. While there are some who speculate that the events here are a ruse just to accelerate the demise of Barisan Nasional, there are a few things that could suggest this:

1. In his press statement, Anwar has stated that he has proof that could incriminate the current IGP Musa Hassan and AG Abdul Gani Patail. As some of you know may recall, Musa was the investigating officer and Gani was the prosecutor in the flawed and rigged 1998/9 trial in which Anwar was convicted of sodomy and corruption practices. Also, some of you do remember that Gani Patail actually declared that there only three people involved in the murder of Altantuya right from the beginning. This means, that the trial was rigged from the beginning with the intention of sending the three to the gallows with a pre-meditated guilty verdict, while the real sinners walked free.

Little have we forgotten that Gani Patail and Musa Hassan as well as Dollah Badawi (through their proxy Othman Talib) had connections to the underworld - known as the Unholy Trinity. Johari Baharom knew that from the beginning but was gagged with a false allegations that he accepted a $5 million bribe.... selanjutnya.

That reminds me…….

Raja Petra Kamarudin

malaysiatoday - "The police are the ones who will determine whether the report is true or not. It is not something that we can determine. He will definitely deny it. That is common for someone who has been accused," said Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

No, Abdullah Badawi was not talking about the people named in the Statutory Declaration (read it here). He was referring to the latest sodomy allegation against Anwar Ibrahim. “He will definitely deny it. That is common for someone who has been accused." Yes, but is this common only to Anwar Ibrahim? Would not Abdullah Badawi, his son-in-law, Najib, Rosmah, Col. Aziz and Col Norhayati not also do the ‘common’ thing and also deny what was alleged in the Statutory Declaration?

Thus far, everyone named in that Statutory Declaration has denied what has been alleged. But, as Abdullah Badawi said, “He will definitely deny it. That is common for someone who has been accused." And, as Abdullah Badawi further said, “The police are the ones who will determine whether the report is true or not. It is not something that we can determine.”

Hmm….but did not Abdullah Badawi also say last week that he believes his Deputy Prime Minister Rosmah Mansor and her husband, Najib, are innocent? Well, he said this at least as far as Rosmah and her husband are concerned. But when it comes to Anwar Ibrahim he says, "The police are the ones who will determine whether the report is true or not. It is not something that we can determine. He will definitely deny it. That is common for someone who has been accused."

Why did Abdullah Badawi open his mouth and profess Rosmah’s and Najib’s innocence even before the police started their investigation? Will the police now dare announce the opposite to what Abdullah Badawi said, thus embarrassing the Prime Minister and making him a liar, at worse, or stupid, at best?

Abdullah Badawi has already ‘locked’ the police investigation and this will force the police to arrive at only one verdict. It is now impossible for the police to rule any other way other than declaring that the Statutory Declaration is false. That would be the only way to save the Prime Minister’s face and insulate him from controversy, or worse, from criminal charges.

In fact, the move to declare the Statutory Declaration false started very early in the day. The Statutory Declaration was signed on Wednesday, 18 June 2008, and handed to the prosecutors in the Altantuya murder trial the following day. On Friday, 20 June 2008, the Attorney-General lodged a police report on the basis that I had made a false declaration.... selanjutnya.

World news ... and why I published the pic of the fiancee

WHY? Saiful Bukhary has made a very serious allegation against Anwar Ibrahim. If he is telling the truth, then he's done a most courageous thing by going to the police. If he's telling a lie, then it's a most despicable deed.

Either way, Saiful has made himself a very public figure. Once investigation starts, his own character will come under scrutiny. If this goes to court, his whole life will be placed on public display. The people around him, especially those close to him, will become objects of scrutiny as well.

His fiancee, we must assume, knows him inside out. She is not under age and she is not a mere bystander. She will have a story to tell, too, and her story could shed light on this issue that has left us with more questions than answers.

In the pursuit for the truth, newspapers have to make many unpopular calls. Often, an editor has to decide whether to publish a certain picture or not. I am no longer in the newspaper, but the mind works the same way, without malice.... selanjutnya.

Pakatan minta badan bebas siasat Anwar berikutan tragedi 1988

Anwar Sudah Meninggalkan Kedutaan Turki

msomelayu - [...]

Anwar keluar kedutaan, dakwa cubaan halang beliau bertanding pilihan raya kecil

Mstar - [...]

These are confusing and uncertain days

malaysianinsider - [ ....] Now it seems that a controversy or crisis greets every new day. Headlines are dominated by calls for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to step down; infighting among Pakatan Rakyat partners; gut-wrenching inflation; economic slowdown; an Umno state assemblywomen making racist remarks about Indians; a former prime minister speaking the language of a Malay nationalist; a ruling party in denial; a Barisan Nasional component party seeking the ouster of the PM through a no-confidence motion; Malays growing increasingly spooked by moves by non-Malays and non-governmental organisations to put the out of bound markers on sensitive issues; the flip-flops of the Abdullah administration; the near paralysis of MIC and Gerakan...

And now this – an allegation by Saiful Bukhari Azlan that he was sodomised by Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

"For a businessman like me, the change in administration (from BN-led to Opposition-led in the state) has had good and bad effects, but, the political scene now is really messing things up," says Salahuddin Ismail, 36, an agro entrepreneur.

Although his business is not government linked, he has felt the

changes. This only underlines the fact that business, however unrelated to politics, is indeed affected. "As it is, a quarter of my profits is gone. I don't know what will happen later."

A survey done in recent days by a non-government organisation detects a dark mood in the country. There is great distrust of the BN government and main political players. Not one political leader in Malaysia today commands comfortable support in the country. Not Abdullah. Not Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. Not Anwar. Not even the man who ruled the country for 22 years, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.... selanjutnya.

Jaminan keselamatan Anwar - Wan Azizah mahu jumpa PM

harakahdaily - [...]
