malaysiainsider - Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor finally broke her silence and proclaimed her innocence but will not not sue blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin for linking her to the murder of Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu.
"The innocent have nothing to fear. I have nothing to say and I have already given my statement to the police," Rosmah, who is Deputy Prime Minster Datuk Seri Najib Razak's wife, told reporters.
Alluding to political motivations behind the claims, Rosmah added: "I am not a politician and I am not running for office. I am just a wife of a politician."
In his June 18 sworn statement, Raja Petra claimed Rosmah and two lieutenant-colonels, one of who is an explosives expert, were present when Altantuya's body was blown up on Oct 19, 2006.
The two lieutenant-colonels have filed defamation suits against Raja Petra, better known as RPK, after he named them in his statutory declaration as being involved in the murder of Altantuya.
Najib had dismissed RPK's claims as "total lies, fabrication and total garbage." Najib's close friend and advisor Abdul Razak Baginda and two policemen from an elite unit are now facing trial for the murder.
