Star - Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim said he has resigned as PKR secretary-general.
“The decision was made because (the party) feels it is best to have a secretary-general who is not an elected representative so that he can focus on the party,’’ Khalid told a press conference Wednesday after chairing the weekly exco meeting.
Khalid said Datuk Sallehuddin Hashim has been appointed the party’s new secretary-general.
“I have now been invited to the party’s political bureau and I have also been asked to be the Selangor state liaison chairman in order to plan PKR’s political efforts in the state,’’ he said.
To a question if he would be vacating his Bandar Tun Razak parliamentary seat for PKR adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Khalid said that he would not be doing so. More...
