Anwar’s lock-up also caught on video - Sivarasa

malaysiainisider | The police filmed Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim the entire time he was detained at the KL police headquarters (IPK) on July 16, said R. Sivarasa, vice-president of Parti Keadilan Rakyat.

"There were several police personnel who followed his every move with handheld video cameras," he told reporters outside the Commercial Crimes Division in Jalan Dato Onn this afternoon after the police recorded his statement in connection to statutory declarations made by private investigator P. Balasubramaniam.
Sivarasa was commenting on the possibility that the police are considering making public the CCTV footage of the 61-year-old politician to show the treatment accorded him while in detention was professional and by the book.
"We also feel it is weird for the CCTV footage to be shown. What's their goal? For me, their action raises a lot of questions. For me, their motives are suspect."
He said the police had videotaped Anwar from the moment he stepped into the city police headquarters until he was released on police bail, including such private moments as when he performed his prayers and answered the call of nature.

"For me, it was unprecedented. I've been a lawyer for 21 years. I've never seen anybody under custody videoed like that from start to finish."... selanjutnya.
