NST - All the previous 54 Selangor Barisan Nasional assemblymen will be asked to account for a total of RM27 million allocated and used for small projects in their constituencies, before the 12th general elections.
State Executive Councillor for Local Government and Research Ronnie Liu said each of the 54 BN assemblymen had spent their RM500,000 allocation within the first two months of the year.Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim will soon be writing to those who had received the allocation for a breakdown and detailed account on how the funds were spent.
“We were shocked to learn that their entire annual budget for small projects was spent, between January and February,” he said.
The Pandamaran assemblyman was speaking to the press yesterday after a visit to the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) with other newly elected representatives from Klang and Port Klang. more...
