Sun2surf - The mystery behind the RM1.2 million found in a fitness centre locker two weeks ago has been solved.
A 41-year-old senior finance manager of a private company gave himself up to the state police late Saturday after apparently admitting that he had kept the money in the gym locker in USJ, Subang Jaya for safekeeping. However, the man's troubles are far from over.
Selangor CPO Deputy Commissioner Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said today police have remanded the manager for investigations into criminal breach of trust and theft.
He said the man's employer had lodged a police report several months ago claiming their company had discovered loss of an undisclosed sum of funds.
Police believe the manager, who has been an employee of the company for several years, had withdrew the cash from the company's account.
On April 11, a senior staff of the fitness centre had found the cash in the locker during routine checks before calling the police when its owner was untraceable.
No2umnO - Finally, the money is NOT mine.
