MALACCA: Is former chief minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik making a comeback into mainstream politics? Fourteen years after quitting as chief minister, he is said to be a candidate for the Jasin parliamentary seat and has met Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam.
Rahim, who is the chairman of Malacca’s Yayasan Penggerak Wawasan, made his return to politics three years ago when he was elected to the Umno supreme council. Another candidate with a chance at the seat is Datuk Norza Zakariah, the Federal Territory Umno Youth Chief.
