DEBAT GAJI SPEAKER ... KULA DIGANTUNG

MP for Ipoh Barat M Kulasegaran has been given a four-day suspension by Deputy Speaker Lim Si Cheng.

The suspension was given following an argument between Kulasegaran and Lim on the presence of Dewan Rakyat Speaker and his deputies in the Chamber when the Members of the Parliament Remuneration Amendment Bill was being debated.

The Bill was tabled to amend the remuneration of the Speaker and his deputies.

Kulasegaran was of the view that the presence of the Speaker and his deputies in the Dewan was not appropriate when the debate to amend their salaries was ongoing
