Penang MCA assistant secretary resigns as party life member

NST - Penang MCA liaison assistant secretary Lim Boo Chang today announced his resignation as a life member of the party.

In his letter to party president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting, Lim said he is also relinquishing all his party posts with immediate effect.

He told Ong: "I am very disappointed, fed-up with and tired of the ever unceasing, complex and unhealthy internal squabbles of the MCA."

Lim, who quit Gerakan in December 1999 and joined MCA a month later, said he has no plans to join any other political party at the moment.

"I want to have a good rest now," said Lim, the Datuk Keramat state assemblyman from 1995 to 2004.
