NST - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi arrived at the Kuching International Airport at 9.20am to attend a meeting with Sarawak Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders.
The Prime Minister was met on arrival by Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, Deputy Chief Ministers Tan Sri Dr George Chan and Tan Sri Alfred Jabu, federal ministers and deputy ministers from Sarawak, state cabinet ministers, heads of federal and state departments as well as about 2,000 people from the various strata of society.
In conjunction with his one-day visit to the state, Abdullah would have a meeting with Taib, who is also chairman of the Sarawak BN, before attending a closed-door meeting with BN leaders as well as members of parliament and state assemblymen from Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP), Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) and the Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) at a leading hotel here.more...
