Malaysianinsider - NIBONG TEBAL, April 17 — PAS vice-president Mohamad Sabu and nine supporters were yesterday re-arrested to face a charge of obstructing a public servant on duty after they were ordered to be discharged not amounting to acquittal for a similar charge by the magistrate's court.
Magistrate Mohd Izham Ali ordered them to be discharged not amounting to acquittal following an application by the prosecution, who was not ready to proceed with the case at this juncture.
Mohamad, 53, and his supporters, were charged with obstructing Supt Mohd Nasir Salleh from serving a warrant of arrest issued on the PAS leader by the Jalan Duta magistrate's court in Kuala Lumpur.
The offence was alleged to have been committed in front of the Bukit Tambun Toll Plaza of the North-South Expressway, near the Kuala Lumpur-Penang exit about 7.45pm on Dec 9 last year. more...
