Policeman in ICU after assault by 30

NSt | MALACCA, A police constable was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Malacca Hospital after he was assaulted by a group of 30 people at a restaurant in Ayer Keroh early yesterday.
Constable Mohd Fairus Shafie who was having supper at the restaurant between midnight and 2am suffered serious head injuries.

Malacca police chief SAC I Datuk Mazlan Mansor said Mohd Fairus, 22, was beaten up by a group of 30 people, some using crash helmets.

He said Mohd Fairus from Kota Tinggi, Johor, who was attached to the Melaka CID division was off duty at the time.... more.
