NST - The Sessions Court today saw the first individual in Malaysia being prosecuted under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act 2007.
Ee Chin Kai, 33, from Gelang Patah was alleged to have tricked two Thai women aged 27 by promising them a job as fun outlet attendants but exploiting them to work as prostitutes at a house in Taman Pelangi at 3.10pm on March 25.
The charge under Section 12 of the Act carries up to 15 years in jail or a fine upon conviction. Ee pleaded not guilty on both counts.
Judge Muhammad Jamil Hussin fixed Sept 17 for trial and allowed Ee bail of RM25,000 with one surety for each charge....selanjutnya [KLIK DI SINI]
