I am shocked YOU'RE shocked over the appointment of PAS Assemblyman Mohamad Nizar Jamaludin as Perak Mentri Besar. I thought it was agreed that all parties would support the choices made by the Perak Sultan in the choices made ?
Perak was won by a thin margin and though most urban voters are Chinese and DAP won most of the seats, the Malay voters should be thanked for swinging over to the opposition. No matter what, do not bite more than you can chew. It is a starting point to a true multi-racial choice. Give the Perak people some time.
You have not even proven yourself in Perak yet and you're already showing such 'disgusts' about the choice made by the Perak Sultan. What disgusts me is your intention not to attend the swearing in ceremony as evidenced by your statement below:
"As the appointment of PAS Assemblyman for Pasir Panjang Mohamad Nizar Jamaludin as Perak Mentri Besar representing the third and smallest political party in the proposed coalition has not received the mandate of the CEC, DAP Perak Assemblymen will stay away from the swearing-in ceremony for Perak Mentri Besar scheduled tomorrow."
This is such an anal retentive reaction and it smacks of disrespect to the royalty in Perak. In my opinion they made the right choice to choose a qualified Muslim Malay capable of the post from the 3 choices submitted. It is still a sensitive matter to put a non-muslim there because it would be pushing it too far and very risky, in case the Malay voters swing again back to BN if you give BN a weapon to use against the opposition in the next election. After all, it is already agreed to give the Sultan the choices and to accept the final decision, why are you being so anal retentive about the choices made?
Please have some bloody patience you old gook. Making statements like these just goes to show you're also a bit out of touch of the reality of what the real situation in Perak is like. The boycott of the swearing in is the STUPIDEST move you're going to make. Even if you're playing to your hardcore DAP audience who insist on a DAP MB because of the vote majority commanded, I believe it's not right to make a public statement to boycott the swearing in ceremony.
Your behaviour sounds like that of a typical sore senile old man. I hope you're reading this and I mince no words when I slam politicians.
Stop playing this type of wayang politics or else you will forever be branded as a Chinese party.

I think its not fair to criticise LKS like that, he is trying to do the non-malay Perakians a favour. From what i see in the news about Ong Ka Chuan kept on accusing DAP cheated voters in Perak by allowing PAS becomes MB, LKS must have thought that the non-malay voters are unhappy and afraid of PAS MB. So to make the voters happy(as he thought so), he opposed to PAS being MB.
It was commonly misunderstood by Malays that he is discriminating malay's Ketuanan or favouring the chinese or being racist by opposing, but it is clear that he wasnt, as he agreed to the appointment of a malay PKR to be MB, just not PAS. I believe the crowd that protest outside of the palace is made by started by UMNO to make the problem look worse.
After he made the boycott order, he got lots of feedback from Perakians from all races that they are fine with PAS being MB, so he apologised and took back his words. So i believe this is a misunderstanding by LKS due to the accusation by MCA Ong Ka Chuan about what the Perakians wants.
I concur with the above comment. It's not fair to fire LKS left & right. We can only hope tht our Muslim friends can understand that some statements/actions made are NOT MEANT AT ALL to insult the Sultan or to question any rights of race. We hope that everyone will not fall into the ploy of the racial crads being fanned and leave Perak at stake.
