sun2surf - Klang MCA chief Datuk Teh Kim Poo claims a Wanita leader eying his post is playing money politics and has "bought over" at least five branches under the division in preparation for the party elections this year.
Oriental Daily News reported today that Teh, the former Pandamaran assemblyman, said the Wanita leader has used money to lobby for support with the help of two community leaders cum businessmen.Teh disclosed this during an interaction session with visiting MCA state liaison chief Datuk Ong Tee Keat in the division's new building in Pandamaran on Tuesday (May 20) night.
He said the five branches "bought over" by her are mainly new branches which have good ties with leaders of local community groups and temple associations.
Commenting on Teh's allegation, Ong, who is party vice-president and Transport Minister, said he will meet up with deputy president Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy, who heads the party's disciplinary committee, next week to discuss the matter.
Earlier, Teh told the interaction session, which was also attended by youth and wanita leaders, that although a number of problems cropped up within the party following its dismal performance in the March 8 polls, Klang MCA has remained united and continued to serve the people.... selanjutnya.
