Umno supreme council member and former Malacca chief minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik is prepared to make a comeback and contest in the general election should the party decide to field him.
“I can contribute to the nation’s progress. If the party decides I should stand for election, I will,” he said. [The Star]
I’m sure Rahim’s candidacy would do wonders for the advancement of Islam Hadhari.
And if he wins, maybe Pak Lah can put him in charge of promoting Islam Hadhari principles #7 and 8, which call for the protection of the rights of women, and moral integrity.
See that picture up there? When Rahim was in power, he spent much time in that particular pose — those hands were all over the place, I tell you.
THE BIGGEST contribution to the nation’s progress that Rahim can make is to stay out of office, for good.
