Star - Some 80 people from an Indian group gathered in front of the state secretariat building here on Monday to voice their dissatisfaction over what they said was a failure of the newly-elect state government to deliver on its campaign promises.
The unregistered society, the Selangor Indian Community Selangor led by K. Gunasegaran, said they hoped the government would attend to its pledges made before the March 8 general election.
The group handed a memorandum covering 13 issues to the office of Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.
The group called for the appointment of another Indian representative in the state executive council, at least six Indian representatives in each local council, and an Indian mayor for either the Shah Alam or Petaling Jaya city councils.... selanjutnya.
