themalaysianinsider - When Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad walked into Hotel De Palma in Ampang at 10.25 this morning for an open dialogue with Umno members, it was to the accompaniment of kompang and P. Ramlee's Getaran Jiwa.
When he walked out about 2 hours later, it was to the tune of Frank Sinatra's My Way, which some may remember him professing to be his favourite song. Certainly the lyrics reflected his style of leadership for 22 years.
In between, there were several other singsong sessions: the national anthem, the party anthem, even a music video karaoke session of a song titled, “Warisan” (heritage).
It set a very different tone from when he last publicly engaged Umno members at Hotel Singgahsana in Petaling Jaya a week ago on April 1.
