KOTA KINABALU: The home of former Chief Minister Datuk Yong Teck Lee was smeared with red paint in the early hours yesterday.
A group of men in a sedan was caught on tape by a closed-circuit television camera at the house in Taman Kinamount, Luyang.
The Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) president has been overseas with his wife, Datin Stella, since Thursday.
The secretary of the party, a member of the Barisan Nasional, Datuk Richard Yong, said: "A police report was lodged by a family member and we will leave it to the police to find out who was responsible for this shameless act."
Richard said the CCTV recorded a car stopping at the front of the house before 1.30am. People were seen hurling plastic bags into the compound.
"The paint smeared the porch, verandah and the roof of the house," he said.
