NST - Police today recorded a statement from DAP national chairman Karpal Singh over reports lodged against him for allegedly making seditious remarks.
Penang acting police chief Datuk Salleh Mat Rasid said the statement was recorded at Karpal’s office in Jalan Green Hall here.
“We will forward the investigation papers to the Attorney-General’s Office in a day or two,” he told reporters here today.
Asked if Karpal, who is also the Member of Parliament for Bukit Gelugor, would be arrested or charged, Salleh said police would act on the instructions of the Attorney-General.
He said Penang police were investigating the case because the alleged remarks were made in Penang.
