A group of residents numbering more than 200 carrying banners and placards and many chanting anti-BN slogans, were protesting against the BN (Barisan Nasional) for failure to expand a Valdor Tamil school despite appealing for 20 years.
While they were staging their protest, Koh Tsu Koon passed the area in his (presumably expensive)four-wheel drive about 11am.
They shouted for him to stop and hear them out, but Koh - contesting his
first parliamentary seat in Batu Kawan which covers the Valdor area - ignored the calls and drove on by.
Remember how insensitive UMNO held their General Assembly during Deepavali? Remember how Abdullah Badawi dissolved the Parliament during the Chinese New Year celebrations. Remember how the Prime Minister said he is Prime Minister for all Malaysians. Let us remember. Let us not depend on cheap talk. Let us examine actions.
Remember all these when you cast your votes on Saturday 8 March 2008.
